Holden is one of the most singular dogs in our kennel – he has absolutely striking honey-colored eyes that give him an unmistakable, unique appearance. Holden has a strong, full-bodied build and a beautiful blocky head. His ears sit high on his head which, when combined with his beautiful eyes, gives him a distinctly charming appearance.
It is important for Chocolate Labradors to have very diverse genetics to keep the Lab temperament; calm, intelligent, and loving. Holden comes from Russian, Latin American, United Kingdom, and United States lines, with Champions and Grand Champions throughout. This wonderful combination of genetics has produced a line of dogs that are mellow and deeply interested in human companionship, which describes Holden to a tee.
We may be biased, but we also see Holden’s mothers good qualities in him. Holden’s mother is Franny, one of our breeding dames. Franny is known for being a gentle, tolerant female who does well as a mentor dog to the new pups that enter the breeding kennel. She is a wonderful mother and she has passed her sweetness on to Holden.
Holden’s puppies tend to carry these same fantastic qualities; they are often well-muscled, with large blocky heads, and mellow, loving demeanors. We absolutely love Holden’s puppies!
