“Atlas here, is not our first, but actually is our second trained OTB pup. The choice to get a trained pup is incredibly clear, especially once you bring your furbaby home. Atlas, (and his big bro Duke), have the best manners you could ever see in puppies and are incredibly affectionate. We chalk this up to the weeks of training they had before coming to our home. Both of them were wonderfully crate trained, rarely had accidents, knew basic commands, and are great with other dogs and people, including children. Having a dog with the proper foundation takes the work and stress away from worrying about if what you’re doing is right. Plus, training a puppy is very demanding and as someone who already has a full-time job, the training program is a no-brainer. My husband and I got both our OTB pups with 12 weeks of training, and I’m certain we will do it over and over again in the future.”

“I had been wanting a pup from On The Bluff Labs for quite some time. I was lucky enough to get a pup from the magnificent Atticus before he was officially retired. The pups from OTB have wonderful, sound temperaments and are truly beautiful as a bonus! One of my family members also has an OTB pup. I am so happy with my pup, Mikkola. Jess did a great job picking out a pup for us that matched our family’s lifestyle, desires and expectations. I have a young, active son and it was very important to have a dog that was playful, yet gentle and well-balanced. He was honestly the easiest puppy that I’ve ever raised. The on-site trainer, Jess, is amazing. Mikkola came home with me knowing essentially all basic commands, was trained to eliminate outside and was already crate trained! Incredible. Mikkola did the training program with Jess and it was ABSOLUTELY worth spending the extra money. I would encourage anyone to make the investment initially, to help to avoid potential issues in the future. Experienced dog owners know that the time and money that will actually be saved in the long-run by purchasing a trained, well-socialized, well-adjusted, healthy pup cannot be overstated.”

“I was drawn to On The Bluff Labradors because of their philosophy, from their approach to nutrition and diet, vaccination insight, crate training, and socialization skills to their extensive experience in breeding. 

They were accommodating and helpful as we looked at possibly getting one of their puppies and all my questions. Having lost two dogs in the past year from the same litter to Osteosarcoma, I was still feeling anxious about whether I was ready for the next step. The research was essential to me, and like most, I wanted to do anything I could to be preventive for our future furries. Jessica was so patient with me, understanding and explaining, always available to answer any questions, and never once did I feel any pressure to move forward. 

They communicate often and go above and beyond to make the process of adding a new family member easy and seamless, from weekly updates, pre-pickup Zoom meetings, and a communicative pickup to review all the details. 

We can’t say enough good things about our boy, Theodore, “Teddy”— he settled right in winning his new big brother over in minutes, he’s very handsome and expressive, intelligent, cuddly, friendly, was quickly housebroken, a great traveler, and a true sweetheart. His temperament and personality are exceptional. We have never had a labrador quite like this, and I am certain we will have another one from On The Bluff in the next year or two.”

“We couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience with On the Bluff Labradors and our beautiful black lab, Cassie! She has been an incredible addition to our family and has brought so much joy and love into our home. From day one, Cassie has been a sweet, well-mannered puppy who immediately bonded with her big (little) brother, Chase, our Toy Fox Terrier. They are the best of friends, and it’s heartwarming to see their unique bond.

Jess, the trainer at On the Bluff Labradors, did an amazing job getting Cassie started with her training. She came to us already knowing sit, stay, and touch, and she LOVES her crate, which made the transition to our home so smooth. Cassie has since learned to use bells or a button to let us know when she needs to go outside and has mastered giving her paw. She walks beautifully on a leash, and her gentle demeanor has made her a favorite with everyone she meets.

Cassie has truly exceeded all our expectations. Her temperament is perfect—calm, affectionate, and eager to please. Whether she’s playing with Chase or cuddling with the family, she brings endless smiles to our faces.
